You can find better pet stores close by with better price, but in case of an emergency it is ok.

All necessary items for a fish lover...they r keeping tissue culture plants as well... One stop shop for any aquarists ...

A very nice and inclusive pet store. Lots of shopping center parking and easy access traffic light entry.

I hate to say this because I really love having a Petco down the street from me. It makes it easy to get the best food available for my animals. The other day, I stopped in to get more food for my pets. I found the righ food and put the bags into my cart. I decided I'd walk around for a bit to see if there was any toys that they would like. I noticed that a store employee had left a huge ladder (that was on wheels) in the middle of the isle. There weren't any employees nearby, in fact, there was only one employee working...I didn't see anyone else on the floor or at the register the whole time I was there. This was a narrow isle on the far end of the store without a way to get out of it unless I was willing to back my shopping cart up while running into a ton of food bowls, and tin food containers. I reluctantly chose to try to squeeze by the ladder and so I pushed it as far as I could towards the wall. I squeezed by and tripped on one of the legs of the ladder. I was not hurt but couldn't help to think of how much of a liability that was. Unfortunately, that isn't even the worst part of my review. When I went to pay, the gentleman (the only employee besides the groomers in the other room that's closed off to customers) behind the register began to scan my items. As I was waiting for him to finish I glanced behind him to see the cute dogs that were getting groomed. Instantly, the largest dog (A Saint Bernard, like the dog in the movie Beethoven) was obviously very nervous. He was panting very fast and looked as though he was panicking. He obviously needed water. I began talking to the lady next to me in line and she pointed it out as well. while she was checking out which was after me. There were three young ladies in the groomers section and there were two dogs total. Two groomers were next to the big dog that was panicking. The third groomer was standing next to the other smaller dog when she decided she wanted her picture taken with the big dog. She then handed one of the girls, grooming the big dog, her phone and stood posed with the poor dog for a few pictures. At this point, both of us women were just absolutely taken aback! We couldn't believe it. I would be so furious if I saw someone do while I'm paying them to be professional and get the job done appropriately. After the young ladies were done with the photo shoot, the groomer that was in the photo returned back to the little dog she was grooming while the two girls began shaving and combing the big dog. I watched as one young lady ripped through that dogs coat like she was five years old brushing her barbies knotted up hair. This dog had a thick coat and the way that she ripped the brush through it was just horrifying. The dog couldn't move his head to look back at her when she was basically ripping his hair out so he just kept shifting around and panting uncontrollably with his tail between his legs. I then watched the other groomer that was shaving his other side, press the razor against the dogs skin with way too much pressure and very quickly make rows down the dogs torso. I felt so badly for the poor dog. After the torso, the girl with the razor went to do under the dogs ears. She once again pressed down way too hard and yanked the razor downward. She then grabbed the last chunk of hair and stuck her fingers (on the other hand) through the chunk of hair and yanked her fingers down too. At that point the woman I was talking with was finished checking out and I couldn't watch anymore of the disturbing behavior of the groomers and I definitely couldn't watch the devastatingly scared dog have to suffer any longer. I just had to leave. I decided to ask the gentleman if the dogs owner would return soon and he said not for a couple hours. I had to pick the kids up from school as it was getting late. Now, keep in mind, this all happened pretty fast. I can't imagine what happened after I left. That's why I'm here telling y'all. Please, don't just hand your pet off to a stranger to get groomed. Stick around for a bit to make sure your pet's safe.
